Stop Debris Before It Becomes a Problem.
Irrigation performance depends on clean, consistent water flow. Netafim disc filters use stacked plastic rings to create a cylindrical filter element that helps remove particles from the water and protect irrigation systems from clogging.
During filtration, the disc rings are compressed tightly together. Water is directed through the grooved discs, where suspended debris is captured before cleaner water continues through the irrigation system.
Stand-Alone or Modular
Manual disc filters work effectively as individual filtration units or can be combined to create modular filter batteries for irrigation systems requiring additional filtration capacity.
How Disc Filtration Works
The effectiveness of a disc filter comes from what happens between the discs. Instead of filtering only at the surface, the grooved rings create multiple pathways where contaminants can be captured.
Filtration Through the Depth of the Disc.
The grooves molded into each plastic disc crisscross when the discs are stacked, creating a three-dimensional filtration network. The number of intersection points varies according to the filtration grade.
As water follows these varying paths, turbulence and repeated intersections help trap suspended particles throughout the depth of the disc stack—not simply on the outside surface of the filter element.
Designed for Deep, Efficient Water Filtration.
Unlike filtration that occurs only at an outer surface, the Netafim disc design filters water through the depth of the grooved rings. This creates a larger, more efficient filtering area when compared with screen filtration, allowing more debris to be captured before cleaner water leaves the filter.
Filtration Starts Before the Water Reaches the Field.
