Landscape Fabric for Weed Control & Landscaping
Landscape fabric is a permeable material designed to help gardeners, landscapers and property owners minimize weed growth while still allowing water and air to reach the soil. When properly installed, landscape fabric creates a physical barrier that blocks sunlight and helps prevent weed germination.

PRO PLUS V™
High-Strength Woven Landscape Fabric
Pro Plus V™ is a superior-quality woven geotextile produced by needlepunching non-woven fabric into the weave to form a high-strength landscape fabric with improved water permeability.
The polypropylene fibers are specially formulated to resist UV light deterioration and are inert to commonly encountered soil chemicals. The fabric will not rot or mildew, is non-biodegradable and is resistant to damage from insects and rodents.
Three Steps to Proper Landscape Fabric Installation
Proper landscape fabric installation helps maximize weed suppression, soil stabilization and long-term landscape performance.
PREPARE AREA
Remove all weeds from the desired area. For added protection, apply pre-emergent herbicide before laying down fabric. For best weed control and soil stabilization, install fabric with the fuzzy side facing the ground. For mulch stabilization, install the fuzzy side up.
PLACE FABRIC
Unroll the landscape fabric and cut it to the desired length. Fit fabric around plants, lights and other obstacles by cutting “X” openings where needed. Overlap fabric a minimum of 4–6 inches and secure with fabric staples, staggering approximately 1.2 staples per square yard.
COVER FABRIC
Immediately cover the landscape fabric with 3–4 inches of mulch, stone or bark. Covering the fabric protects it from sunlight while creating a clean, finished appearance throughout the landscape.
